O górnym eocenie w Polsce
Abstract
Artykuł dotyczy występowania zróżnicowanych zespołów otwornicowych w eocenie górnym Polski pozakarpackiej. Stwierdzono 3 odrębne zespoły: dwa reprezentują chłodne wody borealne, które zalały Polskę na wschodzie i północy, trzeci – wody cieple, które objęły Polskę zachodnią i południową. Antyklinorium śródkowopolskie stanowiło w eocenie górnym barierę lądową utrudniającą mieszanie się mikrofauny otwornicowej zasiedlającej te wody.ON THE UPPER EOCENE IN POLANDIn the Upper Eocene the area of Poland was influenced by marine transgressions coming from the west as well as from the east. The Mid-Polish Anticlinorium presumably acted as a land barrier , separating warm sea stretching on the west and colder East-European sea. The lack of any direct connections between these basins is indicated by differences between microfaunal assemblages. The East-European marine basin was characterized by foraminifer assemblage with Marginulina behmi, Trimosina sectile and Bulimina subtruncana of the Globigerina semiinvoluta Zone (corresponding to NP 17 zone). The northern basin, representing an extension of the former, was characterized by the assemblage comprising Astacozus decorata and Bulimina aksuatica (the Globanomalina micra zone). The West-European basin was characterized by Pararotalia lithothamnica and P. aoduini representative of the Globigerina danvillensis zone. The presence of nummulites and other warm-water Carpathian forms in the latter basin indicates that Tethyan elements were entering that basin not only from west but also from the south, through the Moravian Gate reactivated at these times.Downloads
