Cechsztyn w rejonie Wrocławia
Abstract
Przedyskutowano problemy przejść facjalnych w obrębie niektórych poziomów cechsztynu.ZECHSTEIN IN THE WROCŁAW REGIONStratigraphical studies carried out in the Wrocław region (Fore-Sudetic monocline, SW Poland, fig. 1) cleared up the existing divergence of opinions concerning the paleogeography and stratigraphy of the Zechstein (fig. 2) in the studied region. Detailed correlations (fig. 3-5) show that the carbonates hitherto interpreted as belonging to the Main Dolomite (Ca2) most probably represent the Platy Dolomite (Ca3) in the southern, nearshore part of the Zechstein basin. Consistently, the paleogeographical interpretation of the Zechstein changed. It was stated that the extent of the Leine basin was greater than the extent .of the Stassfurt basin but most probably smaller than the Werra extent (fig. 6). The lateral transition of the carbonate lithofacies of Maindolomlite in the anhydritic facies and later in the facies of red clastics was stated (fig. 7). Besides, the shoreward transition of breccias occurring at the base of the Werra Upper Anhydrite into clastic deposits was found (fig. 7); this confirms earlier suggestions of genetical relationship of the breccias with sedimentary break over a vast part of the Zechstein basin.Downloads
