W sprawie doboru stratotypu jednostki litostratygraficznej

Abstract

Przedstawiono niektóre zagadnienia dotyczące wyznaczania stratotypów. Zwrócono uwagę na konieczność faworyzowania - kosztem profilów wiertniczych - profilów z odsłonięć powierzchniowych, a zwłaszcza profilów znanych, mających długoletnią tradycję badań.SOME REMARKS ON THE SELECTION OF STRATOTYPE FOR A LITHOSTRATIGRAPHIC UNITSome problems connected with the selection of stratotypes are presented. Suggestions are made on the necessity of favouring sections of exposures - especially those adequately known and studied for years - at the expense of borehole section.
