Propozycja formalnego podziału litostratygraficznego czerwonego spągowca na Niżu Polskim
Abstract
Przedstawiony schemat i zasady wydzieleń są propozycją w dyskusji zmierzającej do ustalenia formalnych wydzieleń Iitostratygraficznych w czerwonym spągowcu.FORMAL LITHOSTRATIGRAPHIC SUBDIVISION PROPOSED FOR THE ROTLIEGENDES OF THE POLISH LOWLANDSThe paper presents a proposition of formal lithostratigraphic subdivision of the Rotliegendes, made with reference to the recorded changes in lithology and sedimentary features of the rocks. The 0 d r a G r o u p (grupa Odry), differentiated in lower part ofthe Rotliegendes section, mainly comprises effusive and pyroclastic rocks, with subordinate share of clastic ones. The Odra Group may be further subdivided into two formations of coarse-detrital roks: Dolsk Formation (formacja Dolska) and Dziwna Formation (formacja Dziwny). The formations presumably also comprise rocks of the uppermost Carboniferous (Stephanian C - D). The major part of the Odra Group section comprises effusive and pyroclastic rocks (Obrzycko Member - ogniwo obrzyckie), assigned to the Wielkopolska Formation (formacja wielkopolska). Fine-detrital rocks occurring in upper part of the Odra Group section are tentatively differentiated as the Kornik Formation (formacja kornicka), because of unsatisfactory record.Upper part of the Rotliegendes section is assigned to the W a r t a G r o u p (grupa Warty). The Group comprises sedimentary rocks varying in granulation and assignable to two sedimentary-diilstrophic megacycles. Lower megacycle is differentiated as the Drawsko Formation (formacja drawska) arid the upper - as the Noteć Formation (formacja notecka). The two formations are proposed to be further subdivided into Resko Member (ogniwo reskie), comprising siltstone-clay rocks, and Zabartowo Member (ogniwo zabartowskie). The previously differentiated Darłowo Beds (warstwy darłowskie) and Miastko Beds (warstwy miasteckie) should be given the formation rank. Moreover, the Łyna Formation (formacja Łyny) is differentiated in the area of the pre-Vendian platform.Table 5 and Figure 1 present the proposed subdivision of the Rotliegendes and correlation of the differentiated formations.Downloads
