Abstract
UNKNOWN SITES OF MAMMOTH AND RHINOCEROS BONE REMAINS IN CENTRAL ANDEASTERN POLANDSummaryThe author describes four sites of bone remains of the rhinoceros Coelodonta antiquitatis B 1 u m. and over twenty sites of bone remains of the mammoth Elephas primigenius B 1 u m. (Fig. 1). These sites are not listed in Katalog Ssaków (Catalogue of Mammals) by K. Kowalski (1959) or in the study by M. Borsuk-Białynicka (1973). At least two of the sites described here represent the period of the last but one glaciation.Downloads
