Nowe dane o górnej jurze Wyżyny Wieluńskiej i okolic Burzenina oraz jej znaczemu surowcowym
Abstract
Na podstawie materiałów z 44 otworów wiertniczych, wykonanych w okolicach Wielunia, Działoszyna, Kiełczygłowa i Wielkiej Wsi koło Burzenina, przedstawiono następstwo litostratygraficzne i układ stosunków facjalnych utworów oksfordu i dolnego kimerydu, charakteryzując jednocześnie warunki sedymentacji. Wyniki tych badań powiązano z oceną przydatności przemysłowej występujących tu surowców węglanowych.NEW DATA ON UPPER JURASSIC STRATA IN THE WIELUŃ UPLAND AND VICINITIES OF BURZENIN AND THEIR ECONOMIC VALUE The analysis of 44 borehole columns gave some new data on Upper Jurassic rocks in the vicinities of Wieluń, Działoszyn and Kiełczygłów in the Wieluń Upland and Wielka Wieś near Burzenin (Fig. 1). A number of lithostratigraphic units were differentiated in the strata assigned to the Oxfordian and Lower Kimmeridgian (Fig. 2). The sequence begins with spongy-tuberolitic layered limestones with subordinate and generally small algal-sponge bioherms (Jasna Góra beds, Zawodzie layered limestones). They arc overlain by strata displaying numerous vast algal-sponge bioherms and biostromes (Miedzno Chalky limestones, Zalesiaki massive limestones, Niwiska chalky limestones, Pajęczno chalky limestones) which interfinger with well-bedded poorly-fossiliferous micritic limestones and-marls (platy limestones with tuberoids, friable micritic limestones, lower and middle platy limestones, lower and middle marly units). Advanced development of algal-sponge build ups resulted in origin of marked denivellations of sea floor (Figs. 2, 3). A zone of advanced development of these buildups appears related to a tectonic elevation of the horst type in the basement of the Jurassic. Some parts of organogenic limestones of the Lower Kimmeridgian age (Kule chalky limestones) display numerous hermatypic corals whereas other parts of that unit, deposited at larger depths, are characterized by predominance of siliceous sponges. Micritic limestones, marls, grainstones and lumachelles arc the youngest rocks found in the studied area. The above lithostratigraphic units are characterized from the point of view of chemical composition (Fig. 4, Tables 1-3) and usability as raw materials.
