Budowa geologiczna północno-wschodniej i centralnej części rowu Świerzawy (Dolny Śląsk)
Abstract
W rejonie Świerzawy wyodrębniono następujące zespoły skalne permo-karbonu: zlepieńce brunatne, dolne łupki antrakozjowe, piaskowce szare, zlepieńce kwarcowe, górne łupki antrakozjowe, mułowce czerwone. Stwierdzono istnienie trzech bloków tektonicznych: Świerzawy, Starej Kraśnicy i Sędziszowej oraz synkliny na obszarze bloku Świerzawy. Podkreślono znaczenie ruchów kimeryjskich w kształtowaniu obrazu tektonicznego rowu Świerzawy.GEOLOGICAL STRUCTURE OF NORTH-EASTERN AND CENTRAL PARTS OF THE ŚWIERZAWA TROUGH (LOWER SILESIA) The Świerzawa trough is infilled with Upper Carboniferous and Permian sedimentary and volcanic rocks (Fig. 1). Sedimentary series mainly comprises conglomerates and sandstones. Mudstones and mudslone-marly shales are subordinate here and claystones and limestones - sporadical. The above lithological varieties form the following rock packets (from the top downwards): red mudstones. upper Anthracosia shales, quartz conglomerates, grey sandstones, lower Anthracosia shales and brownish conglomerates. Geological maps (Figs. 2 - 3) and cross-sections (Fig. 4) show geological structure. Here occur three tectonic blocks differing in amplitude of translocations: Świerzawa, Sędziszowa and Stara Kraśnica blocks. There were also found fold structures, expressed by a syncline in the Świerzawa block, and small folds in red mudstones. The above syncline is used by the Kaczawa River in some section. The recorded tectonic structure is the net result of movements taking place from the Permian to Tertiary. Kimmerian (most probably Eocimmerian) movements have been most important here but some effects of Permian movements are also visible. The Tertiary ones resulted in rejuvenation of the existing structures and formation of new, small-scale disturbances of strata.Downloads
