The two institutions, linked by the offices of president and vice president, administrative agreements, and sharing quarters at Alfred-Benz-Haus, Hannover, carry out applied geoscientific research important for the national economy. The works carried out by the BGR are mainly connected with giving expert opinion for the government of FRG and geological surveys abroad, and the work of the NLfB is concentrated mainly within Lower Saxony.Downloads
