Skamieniałości śladowe górnego wendu i dolnego kambru południowej Lubelszczyzny
Abstract
W utworach górnego wendu i dolnego kambru południowej Lubelszczyzny stwierdzono bardzo liczne skamieniałości śladowe. Zróżnicowanie taksonomiczne, morfologiczne i etologiczne pozwoliło na wyróżnienie dwóch zespołów skamieniałości śladowych. Zespół I - stwierdzony po raz pierwszy w górnym wendzie Lubelszczyzny - występuje w utworach formacji lubelskiej. Zespół II - należy do dolnego kambru i występuje w utworach poziomu Platysolenites formacji mazowieckiej. Rozmieszczenie i zróżnicowanie zespołów śladów umożliwia zastosowanie ichnofauny w ustalaniu granicy prekambr-kambr na Lubelszczyźnie.UPPER VENDlAN AND LOWER CAMBRIAN TRACE FOSSILS OF SOUTHERN LUBLIN REGION The paper presents preliminary results of studies on Upper Vendian and Lower Cambrian ichnofauna of the Lublin region. The studies covered paleoichnological material from boreholes Białopole IG 1, Terebiń IG 5, and Parczew IG 10. Two trace fossil assemblages were identified in the Lublin section of the Precambrian - Cambrian passage beds with reference to their taxonomical. morphological and ethological differentiation. Trace fossils of the assemblage II, Torrowangea rosei Webby and Paleopascichnus delicatus Palij, confirm Vendian age of strata in which they have been found, and those of the assemblage 11, Phycodes pedum Seilacher. Treptichnus ichnosp., Bergaueria major Palij, Teichichnus ichnosp indicate Lower Cambrian age of the relevant strata. The assemblage I - the Upper Vendian - appears the closest in composition to the coeval one from Podolia. Distribution and differentiation of the ichnofaunal assemblages bears a decisive influence on their usability in delineating the Precambrian - Cambrian boundary in the Lublin region.Downloads
