Uranonośność utworów kredowych Sudetów
Abstract
URANIUM POTENTIAL OF CRETACEOUS ROCKS IN THE SUDETY MTS In northern and north-western Bohemian Cretaceous Basin (representing a part of the Bohemian Massif), there are known uranium deposits related to fresh-water Cenomanian and lower part of marine Cenomanian. In the Sudety Mts (north-eastern margin of the Bohemian Massif), Upper Cretaceous rocks are known from two synclinoria: North-Sudetic and Central-Sudetic.Lithofacies comparisons made by the authors showed that uranium-bearing Cenomanian facies of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin are represented by relics or laterally replaced by those unfavourable for origin of concentrations of uranium in the Sudety Mts. Radiometric surveys of outcrops and borehole columns showed that Cretaceous rocks are characterized by low radiocativity here. The recorded contents of uranium in individual lithological varieties of Cenomanian and younger Cretaceous rocks fall within the limits typical of a given lithological variety (Table 1).Downloads
