Uwagi o tektonice północno-zachodniej części Dolnego Śląska
Abstract
Zaproponowano nowe granice jednostek tektonicznych: bloku przedsudeckiego, struktury kaczawskiej, antyklinorium Żar i synklinorium północnosudeckiego, uzasadnione jednolitą litologią, podobnym stylem tektoniki i rozwojem tych jednostek. Rozpatrzono bliżej tektonikę synalpejską tego obszaru, wydzielając szereg uskoków i bloków, które zróżnicowano wiekowo. SOME REMARKS ON THE TECTONICS OF NW LOWER SILESIA In NW part of the Lower Silesia, some higher-order tectonic units contact with one another: Fore-Sudetic Block, Kaczawa Zone, Żary Anticlinorium and North-Sudetic Synclinorium. Boundaries of these units are still the subject of controversy and the paper presents some solutions drawn with reference to lithology, tectonics and geological history of the units. The Marginal Sudetic Fault was found to represent a morphological treshold, 80 to 170 m in amplitude. It has originated at the turn of the Middle and Late Miocene or in Late Miocene. The Kaczawa Zone was found to continue from the vicinities of Złotoryja north-westwards, beyond Ławszowa upon the Kwisa River. The Zone is built of blocks varying in size and covered by Cenozoic deposits only. South-eastern section of the Żary Anticlinorium was found to be of block structure and delineated by the Dobra fault. The boundary of that section and the North-Sudetic Synclinorium coincides with a system of faults characterized by uplifted northern limbs and dowthrusted (to 300–700 m) southern ones.Northern parts of the North-Sudetic Synclinorium are also characterized by block structure. The datings tectonic disturbance occurring throughout the studies area are given.Downloads
