W sprawie „dolnokambryjskiego” wieku niższej części utworów dolno dewońskich z głębokich wierceń obszaru Bielsko – Mogilany

Abstract

W nawiązaniu do prac A. Kotasa (1973) i A. Ślączki (1976) przyjmujących dolnokambryjski wiek nieomal całości profilów dolnego dewonu rozpoznanych wierceniami na obszarze Bielsko – Mogilany (K. Konior, 1965, 1966a, b, 1968, 1969; K. Konior, E. Tumau, 1973) autor rozważa ponownie sprawę wieku tych utworów. Przeprowadzone badania chemiczne, petrograficzne, spektralne, termiczne analizy różnicowe oraz dane regionalne wykluczają możliwość występowania niezmetamorfizowanych utworów dolnokambryjskich w wierceniach tego obszaru. ON “EARLY CAMBRIAN” AGE OF LOWER PART OF THE LOWER DEVONIAN IN DEEP BOREHOLES IN THE BIELSKO – MOGILANY AREA The question of age of sandstone-siltstone series underlaying the Middle Devonian in borehole columns in the Bielsko – Mogilany area (K. Konior, 1965, 1966a, b, 1969, 1970, 1974, 1978; K. Konior, E. Turnau, 1973) is discussed with reference to the papers by A. Kotas (1973), S. Orłowski (1975) and A. Ślączka (1976). The Lower Devonian age of that series is shown by results of macro- and microfioristic, chemical-petrographic and spectral studies as well as datings of metamorphism (J. Borucki, M. Sałdan, 1965) of Precambrian rocks (W. Heflik, K. Konior, 1971; K. Konior, 1974, 1978). The Early Cambrian age of these deposits was assumed on the basis of records of fauna of trilobites dated at the Lower Cambrian, in the borehole Goczałkowice IG 1. Trilobites occur in the same lithofacies horizons as (locally) very rich assemblage of well-preserved psilophytes and undoubted Lower Devonian sporomorphs, encountered in 8 borehole columns. The latter were also found in the lithofacies c, occurring much lower in the section. In the light of the studies and regional comparisons, the author excludes the possibility of occurrence of Lower Cambrian rocks in borehole columns in the Bielsko – Mogilany area but it is admitted that the trilobite remains could be redeposited.
