Ewolucja kopalnej sieci rzecznej regionu śląsko-krakowskiego
Abstract
Do gwałtownego zaburzenia pierwotnego układu rzecznego doszło podczas zlodowacenia południowopolskiego. Erozja interglacjału mazowieckiego przywróciła w części stare stosunki hydrograficzne, a procesy akumulacji glacjalnej, fluwioglacjalnej i fluwioperyglacjalnej w czasie zlodowacenia środkowopolskiego ponownie przebudowały system rzeczny tego regionu. ANCIENT, EARLY PLEISTOCENE VALLEYS IN THE SILESIAN-CRACOW REGION The Silesian-Cracow region is situated in the Silesian-Cracow Monocline and Carpathian Foredeep (southern Poland). Its morphology has been shaped by Laramie tectonic movements and Miocene fault-block tectonics (Fig. 1). These processes have initiated erosion, resulting in origin of deeply incised river valleys in the latest Tertiary and Pleistocene (Fig. 4). The majority of valleys represent fossil forms as they did not became inherited by the modern hydrographic network: Geological structure of the valleys displays several cycles of erosion and accumulation and marked changes in the course of axes (Fig. 2). In the Late Tertiary (Pliocene) and Early Pleistocene, epeirogenic movements in the Carpathian foreland resulted in intense erosion. In the Middle and Late Pleistocene, marked changes in hydro graphic network took place in this area due to glacial accumulation and enforced directions of fluvioglacial flow. The Odra-Vistula watershed became markedly shifted westwards (Fig. 3) and several epigenetic gorges originated in the zone of elevations (Fig. 4).Downloads
