Kopalne doliny rzeczne i kopalne aluwia w badaniach inżyniersko-geologicznych
Abstract
Znaczenie rozróżniania kopalnych dolin rzecznych i kopalnych aluwiów przedyskutowano dla badan inżyniersko-geologicznych, hydrogeologicznych i złożowo-geologicznych.BURIED RIVER V ALLEYS AND BURIED ALLUVIA IN THE ENGINEERING-GEOLOGICAL STUDIES The problem of the difference between the following terms: the buried river valley and the buried alluvium has been discussed. The buried river valley ought to be understood only as a considerable long segment of a former river valley with its preserved constant or very little changed shape, covered with younger deposits. The requirement of the interpretation possibility of the hydrologic function of the buried river valley during the former period prior to its burial must be met. When it can not be met the preserved sediments of the former river ought to be called buried alluvia; they were usually translocated from their former. primary position. The significance of the discrimination of the buried river valleys and buried alluvia for engineering-geological purposes is discussedDownloads
