Interglacjał Zbójna na Suwalszczyźnie
Abstract
Reprezentują one interglacjał Zbójna (sensu L. Lindner, E. Brykczyńska, 1980).ZBOJNO INTERGLACIAL IN THE SUWALKI REGION This paper discusses the stratigraphic position of interglacial deposits recorded in borehole at Raczki Wielkie near Olecko (Fig. 1). The interglacial series is found at the depth of 118,2-129,2 m (62,9-51,7 m a.s.l.) and is composed of peats and flu-vial sands and gravels. The peats comprise a pollen assemblage of interglacial character (Z. Kopikowa, 1985). The series has been dated by TL method at 354± 53 ka B.P. (at the bottom) and at 332±49 ka B.P. (at the top). The described interglacial series is situated above four and below six glacial horizons (Fig. 2), and separates deposits of fore-Maximum Stadial, Middle-Polish Glaciation (Liwiec Glaciation?) from Maximum Stadial (Odra Glaciation). It re-presents Zbójno Interglacial (sensu L. Lindner and E. Brykczyńska, 1980). Due to detailed analysis of Quaternary deposits in the Olecko region the stratigraphic position and absolute age of the oldest Vistulian deposits have been determined too. They outcrop in Rospuda valley near Bakałarzewo (to the E of Olecko) and are composed of silts. They were deposited in front of the glacier of Leszno-Poznań Phase, and the results of TL datings are 24±3 ka B.P. and 22±3 ka B.P.Downloads
