The Quaternary of Szamotuły and Buk region (Wielkopolska Lowland)

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to present stratigraphy of the Quaternary of Szamotuły and Buk region, middle part of the Wielkopolska Lowland. The paper presents geomorphology, configuration, Pliocene and Miocene sediments of subquaternary surface. Pleistocene sediments are represented by tills, fluvioglaciaI and ice-dammed lake deposits. Deposits of South Polish, Odra, Warta and Baltic glaciations in Pleistocene sediments are also described.
