Geologia Żuław Wiślanych a zdjęcia satelitarne
Abstract
Przedstawiono wyniki interpretacji geologicznej zdjęć satelitarnych Landsat Żuław Wiślanych i przyległych partii wysoczyzn morenowych. Wyróżnione fotolineamenty tworzą regularny układ sugerujący tektoniczną genezę. Analiza materiałów geologicznych wskazuje, że fotolineamenty te mogą być projekcją powierzchniową deformacji nieciągłych istniejących w obrębie węglanowego kompleksu kredy górnej, podścielającego plastyczne i sypkie utwory kenozoiku.GEOLOGICAL INTERPRETATION OF LANDSAT IMAGERY OF THE VISTULA DELTA PLAIN (ŻUŁAWY WIŚLANE)Photogeological analysis of satellite imagery of the Vistula Delta Plain area was carried out on the basis of various Landsat materials, including photos from single channels of MSS, compositions on additive colour viewer, and standard colour compositions FCC in different scales and for different seasons.Linear elements (lineaments) obtained as a distinct and regular pattern suggest their close relation to disjunctive tectonics. They are probably due to rejuvenation of disjunctive structures in brittle carbonate series of Upper Cretaceous age, underlying soft Ceinozoic sediments. The majority of these discontinuities seem to be active since the latest Cretaceous (or early Cainozoic) till present, but some of them, could act also earlier. All the Cainozoic processes taking place in the Vistula Delta Plain area were influenced by this dissected into blocks and unstable series. We ought to understand Landsat lineaments as traces (projection on surface) of active, buried structures and treat them as places of potencial variability in geological setting of soft Cainozoic sedimentary cover.Downloads
