Lithology of the Upper Silurian, Lower and Middle Devonian sediments exposed in northwestern part of Kielce are described. Nine lithostratigraphical units representing the six stages of the Silurian and Devonian are distinguished. Three of these units have been newly introduced i.e. Niewaehlów Beds, Kielce Beds and Conglomerates from Gruchawka.
