Geological setting of the Silesian-Cracow Zn-Pb deposits

Abstract

In the present paper, the position of the Silesian-Cracow Zn-Pb deposits, on the background of the geological structure of their host area, is discussed and shown on maps and cross-scctions. The connection of the are mineralizntion with disjunctive tectonics is evidenced. The Zn-Pb deposits distribution follows Variscan (and older) as well as Alpine tectonic patterns of that area.
