Strefy mikrosporowe w górnośląskim karbonie produktywnym
Abstract
MICROSPORE ZONES IN UPPER SILESIAN PRODUCTIVE CARBONIFEROUSA series of systematic researches on the application of microspores for the productive carboniferous stratigraphy was carried out in the years 1955-1956 on the area of the Upper Silesian Coal Basin. The results of these studies confined at first only on the analyse of coal, seams have in part been published (S. Dybova, A. Jachowicz, 1956), the remains are still in print (S. Dybova, A. Jachowicz, 1957 a, b). The high degree of carbonization of coal occurring in the oldest beds prevented any studies by the classical coal maceration methods from being carried out. This is why a method of microspore analysis of the barren Carboniferous rocks has been worked out in 1956, making use of hydrofluoric acid (HF). Thanks to this method some paIynological data from layers till now considered as negative. This refers, before all, to Pietrzykowice and partially Gruszków beds (Lower Namurian).Downloads
