Abstract

PETROGRAPHIC CHARACTERISTIC OF ALBITOPHYRES, PORPHYRIES AND DIABASES FROM MRZYGŁÓD NEAR ZAWIERCIEThe paper presented refers to a part of petrographic researches undertaken in order to get acquainted with new occurrences of magnetic rocks in the north-western part of the Lower Silesian Coal Basin.The magmatics located by borings at Mrzygłód belong to two groups of rocks corresponding petrochemically to basalts and dacites. As a result of subvolcanic conditions of magma solidification and advanced hydrothermal changes, they represent petrographically diabases, dacite porphyries and quartz-albitophyres.
