Abstract

STATE OF GEOLOGICAL RESEARCH AND UP TO-DAY KNOWLEDGE OF THE STRUCTURE OF THE POMERANIAN ANTICLINORIUM IN THE ŚWIDWIN - PIŁA SECTORThe author reviews the results of earlier research carried out by German scientists in the line of both geophysics and geology. In the post-war period, the Geological Institute has prepared general geological, gravimetric and magnetic maps in 1 : 300 000 and 1 : 1 000 000 scales.Within recent years, the discussed region has been covered !by an uniform regional gravimetric survey.Simultaneously with the study of German material based on seismic fan-shaped investigations, the Geological Institute has started the preparation of· two regional seismic profiles Stargard - Koszalin and Chojnice - Piła.
