Abstract
CLASTIC MATERIAL IN THE MIDDLE CRETACEOUS FROM THE MESOZOIC MANTLE OF THE ŚWIĘTY KRZYŻ MOUNTAINSThis paper discusses clastic material from 4 areas: Annopol, Chwałowice, Tomaszów Mazowiecki and Przebórz. Stratigraphically these formations are Albian and Cenomanian deposits, develoed as sands and sandstones. At Annopol, these occur sands containing such heavy minerals as tourmaline, zirkon, disthene, staurolite, garnet, rutile, muscovite and glauconite. Diagrams of these minerals are presented on Plate 2. Furthermore, here appear grey, hard, compact sandstones with a siliceous cement. At Chwałowice, we find sands exclusively. The mineral composition of these sends is analogous as at Annopol, - but at Chwałowice they disclose a smaller content of glauconite and a larger content of heavy minerals.Downloads
