Abstract

GEOLOGY OF WESTEKN PART OF KOPY SOŁTYSIE (TATRA MOUNTAINS)The geological mapping of the Kopy Sołtysie area (Tatra Mts.) in scale 1:5·000 has been prepared in 1955 under the direction of Professor Kazimierz Guzik.In 1956, additional studies were made, which supplemented the results previously obtained.Of hitherto undertaken investigations of the Kopy Sołtysie group there exists a survey made by Uhlig, a stratigraphical section of Przednia Kopa published by W. Kuźniar (1908), and a paper by B. Halicki (1955) discussing the tectonics of that region.
