Abstract
PRELIMINARY REPORT ON GEOLOGICAL RESEARCH IN REGION OF MIĘDZYLESIE (MIDDLE SUDETEN)In 1955 and 1956, the author carried out, on behalf of the Geological Institute, a detailed survey in the region of Międzylesie. This fieldsurvey comprised 40 square kilometers, belonging on to the southern mar gin of Góry Bystrzyckie (Habel-schwerdter Gebirge) and Góry Śnieżnika (Glatzer Schneegebirge). Upon the mapped area the author distinguished two regions of metamorphic rocks, separated by a tectonic furrow filled by sedimentary rocks of the Upper Cretaceous (furrow of Nysa Kłodzka). The metamorphic rocks of· both these regions disclose a marked mutual similarity both as to their petrographical composition and tectonic structure.Downloads
