Abstract

SPECIFIC GRAVITY OF CLAYSThe specific gravity of investigated rocks is an important indication which makes possible the drawing of certain conclusions with regards to their mineral composition, and therefore also to their physical and mechanical properties based on the composition. The cognizance of the specific gravity of rocks is a significant index in the geological identification of the sedimentary rocks, and in investigation of engineering geology, petrography, mineralogy and technology.
