Abstract

NOVEL, LOCALITIES OF FOSSIL FINDINGS IN GODULA BEDSDuring geological investigations upon the area of the Biała-Bielsko map sheet there were collected, from Godula beds, in. the eastern part of the Silesian Beskids and in the western part of Beskid Mały, the only macrofossils from these beds which are definitely identified as to their locality, namely Inoceramians.In the Silesian Beskids, the.se fossils were collected from the Lower Godula beds, in Mały Beskid from the boundary between their lower and middle member. Taking into account the low position within the vertical section of the Godula beds of the Inoceramians, bearing the features of an Upper Cenomanian fauna, the possibility·of Albian sediments in these beds is excluded.
