Abstract
NOTES ON THE AGE OF THE GODULA BEDS (CARPATHIANS FLYSCH)(PRELIMINARY REPORT)In the Silesian series of the Western Carpathians, the Godula beds with their thickness reaching up to 2000 m. are the most powerful member. Eastwards their thickness decreases, and within them there appear intercalations of variegated shales. In the Middle Carpathians the Godula beds are usually replaced by the Godula variegated shales.Variegated shales occurring in a similar stratigraphical ,position are known from the Skole, the Subsilesian and the Magura units, from the Czarnohora - Bukowiną Carrpathians and from Wienerwald.Downloads
