Rozwój facjalno-litologiczny dewonu i karbonu w Sudetach Wschodnich i na Morawach
Abstract
FACIAL AND LITHOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE DEVONIAN AND CARBONIFEROUS IN THE EASTERS SUDETEN AND IN MORAVIAIn his paper the author presents an outline of the stratigraphy, the palaeogeography and the tectogenesis of the Devonian and the Carboniferous in the Eastern Sudeten Mountains and in Moravia (Fig. 1).In the bottom strata of the Devonian there appear both marine quartzites (in Vysoky Jesenik), and red conglomerates and sandstones of the Old Red type, of Jaroslav Dvorak continental origin. Of top of them are deposited argillaceous shales, with diabase effusions and their tuffs. In the highest strata we meet with; shales containing wedged out limestone beds. These are deposits of the highermost Koblentzian and of the Eifelian.Downloads
