O otwornicach bononu środkowego z Brzostówki koło Tomaszowa Mazowieckiego
Abstract
FORAMINIFERS OF THE MIDDLE BONONIAN FROM BRZOSTOWKA NEAR TOMASZÓW MAZOWIECKI (CENTRAL POLAND)This paper discusses problems of micropalaeontologicaI stratigraphy of the Middle Bononian appearing at Tomaszów Mazowiecki, in its suburb Brzostówka situated in the valley of the Pilica river. Here the Middle Bononian is ,developed in the shape of dark clays, upwards passing into yellowish limestones. In 1954 and 1955 the author collected, from the individual strata of the Middle Bononian, for his microfauna investigations samples of 1 kg. each. The identified assemblage of foraminifer fauna enabled the author to confirm the appearance here of horizon Provirgatites scynthicus zone and horizon Provirgatites alexandrae zone, previously attributed to these beds by J. Lewiński (1922).Downloads
