Zespół sporowy i pozycja stratygraficzna pokładu węgla z Kozłowej Góry (Zagłębie Górnośląskie)
Abstract
SPORE ASSOCIATIONS AND STRATIGRAPHICAL POSITION OF COAL SEAM AT KOZŁOWA GÓRA (UPPER SILESIAN BASIN)At Kozłowa Góra, situated in the northern part of the Upper Silesian Basin, there is known the outcrop of a coal seam whose stratigraphical position within the marginal beds (Namurian A) has not yet been accurately determined. The low degree of carbonization existing in this region (contrary to conditions in the south-western part of the Basin) enabled me to analyze the spores·in samples collected from both coal and argillaceous shale strata of this outcrop. This analysis furnished well preserved material consisting of megaspores, microspores, pollen and fully preserved microsporangia.Downloads
