Występowanie łupków radioaktywnych w utworach serii menilitowej w Karpatach
Abstract
OCCURENCE OF RADIOACTIVITE SHALES IN SEDIMENTS OF THE MENILITE SERIES IN THE CARPATHIANSThe presence of oil shales with increased radioactivity has been established: at Bezmiechowa Góra and Monasterzec near Lesko, at Tyrawa Solna near Sanok, at Turska near Ciężkowice, at Hyżne near Rzeszów, and at Skopów in the vicinity of PrzemyśI (Fig. 1). The authors discussed both the occurrence of radioactive shales at these localities and their lithological development (Fig. 2).The occurrence of shales with increased radioactivity is primarily connected with the lower part of the Menilite series. This assertion, however, is not of universal validity. At localities where these shales occur, they are probably forming lenses of a limited range of occurrence. This seems to be implied, inter alia, by conditions in which the radioactive shales occur in the area of Bezmiechowa.Downloads
