Seria podśląska w Karpatach Bielskich (frydecka seria podśląska)
Abstract
THE SUBSILESIAN SERIES IN THE BIELSKO CARPATHIANS (THE FRYDEK SUBSILESIAN SERIES)From the Bielsko Carpathians the authors present one of the facial types of the Subsilesian series for which·they coined the term "the Frydek Subsilesian series". Due to tectonic disturbances there survived from this series but infrequent relicts; with members reaching, from the (Cenomanian ?) Turonian to the Lower Eocene. The oldest member, the "Pisarzowice beds" have been assigned to the (Cenomanian?) Turonian - Lower Senotnian; they are considered to be the analogy to the Goduła member. The younger member, developed as "grey marla of Frydek type" (Campanian - Palaeocene), represents in this series the correspondent to the Istebna member. This facies, compared with the variegated one which might be called "the Węglówka facies", occupies a more exterior, northern position. The youngest of the identified members, the "green-brown shales" (Palaeocene - Lower Eocene), show the greatest analogies with the sediments investigated in the region of Radziechowy (the Żywiec tectonic window).Downloads
