Rzekomo pirogeniczne kwarce
Abstract
SEEMINGLY PYROGENIC QUARTZIn modern literature on petrography and geology we find a number of papers devoted to the investigation of pyroclastic rocks, such as tuffs, tuffites and bentonites. These deposits, of a wide range of age extending from the Cambrian to the Neogene, are encountered which increasing frequency during geological prospecting and in bore-holes; close attention is being paid to them both in Poland and abroad. Of particular interest is the presence of bipyramidal quartz crystals in these rocks. As a rule, petrographers studying the petrography of pyroclastic rocks look upon this quartz as an unaltered mineral of volcanic origin.Downloads
