Abstract


MINERALS OF PEGMATITE VEINS IN THE VICINITY OF SZKLARSKA PORĘBA REGION IN KARKONOSZE MOUNTAINS (RIESENGEBIRGE)

The author investigated accessory minerals found in the pegmatites from the Szklarska Poręba, region in the Karkonosze Mountains. The principal minerals she has described in previous petrographicaI-geochemical paper (E. Gajda, 1960). In her work, she chiefly used the method of X-ray diffraction and, moreover, microchemical, spectrographical and optical methods.

The following pegmatite minerals were examined: arsenopiryte, autunite, native bismuth,. chalcopiryte, dumortierite, epidote, fergusonite, fluorite, gadolinite, garnet, kämmererite, lepidolite, malachite, molybdenite, monazite, niobite, orthite, pyrite, spodumene, siderite, native silver, tetrahedrite, thorite, titanite, topaz, tourmaline, uranite, wolframite, xenotime, zircon, and non-identified mineral.

The examined minerals form two groups: the first comprisng minerals characteristic for pegmatites, the other - minerals of hydrothermal origin.

Some of the minerals occur in several generations, e. g. zircon, monazite. Neither kämmererite nor the non-identified mineral whole main chemical component is chromium (alongside of Cu, Zn, S, Sb) are typical for granite pegmatites.
