Szczegółowe badania mikropaleontologiczne jako warunek ostatecznego ustalenia stratygrafii Karpat fliszowych
Abstract
DETAILED MICROPALAEONTOLOGICAL RESEARCH AS ONE OF THE AGENTS FOR DETERMINING STRATIGRAPHY OF THE FLYSCH CARPATHIANSIn view of the but local character of the occurrence of more plentiful accumulations of macrofauna, the determination of the stratigraphy of the Carpathian Flysch encountered considerable difficulties during many decades of years. When, in 1895-1901, J. Grzybowski· called attention to foraminifers owing to their almost universal occurrence Carpathian sediments, initially no positive stratigraphical results were obtained from their investigation. In was only the enormous development of micropalaeontology all over the world that in Poland too led to renewed attention to this research.Downloads
