Schyłek plejstocenu w zachodniej części Kotliny Płockiej
Abstract
DECLINE OF PLEISTOCENE IN WESTERN PART OF PŁOCK DEPRESSION (Central Poland)In the Płock depression, dead ice has been the form of deglaciation of the latest inland ice (Frankfurt stage of Baltic glaciation). The period of recession of the inland ice upon the Pomeranian moraines has been characterized by a phase of erosion in the southern part of the depression, and by the forming of the valley of a river which flowed westwards in the present-day Noteć valley (?). The building up of the Pomeranian moraines was accompanied by the filling in of this valley in the Płock depression, terminated by an arenaceous accumulation of lacustrine character (Figs. 1, 2).Downloads
