Abstract
NEW CONTRIBUTION TO KNOWLEDGE OF ŻOLIBORZ INTERGLACIAL DEPOSITS IN W ARSAWThe present paper deals with lacustrine deposits (peats and gyttia) uncovered in a deep sewer excavation in Warsaw, at the intersection of Aleje Wojska Polskiego with the N-S tract (Stołeczna street). Detailed examination of the walls of this trench enabled the authors to prepare their contributory remarks to well-known stratigraphical data on these deposits, i.e, with regard to the so-called Żoliborz Interglacial (J. Lewiński and S. Z. Różycki, 1929; S. Z. Różycki, 1929; Z. Sujkowski and S. Z. Różycki, 1937; .E. Ruhle, 1954).Downloads
