Abstract

NEW OPINION ON NEOCOMIAN STRATIGRAPHY AT ROGOŹNOThe author presents a brief lithological-stratigraphical review, supplemented by results of recent investigations, of the Lower Cretaceous at Rogoźno. In the Infra-Valanginian, of approximately 22 m. thickness, there has been distinguished a Wealdian series and a marine series which latter, for the first time in the Polish Lowland, is documented by index ammonites Subcraspedites (Paracraspedites) sp. ex gr. spaskensis-tenomphalus and Riasanites sp. ex gr. Rjasanensis.
