Abstract

REMARKS ON MINERALIZATION OF PALAEOZOIC ROCKS IN REGION OF CRACOW

In the Jurassic and Cretaceous deposits building eastern slope of the Silesia-Cracow anticlinorium negligible traces of mineralization are well known (J. Morozewicz, 1909; A. Gaweł, 1949; S. Dźułyński, W. Żabiński, 1955; S. Bukowy, 1956). It may be assumed that this mineralization has been caused by descending solutions which mobilized mineral deposits in the substratum of the Jurassic.

A feeble mineralization of the substratum of the Jurassic deposits has been ascertained at Bębło in the form of a pyrite-quartz vein (S. Bukowy, 1968), and at Karniowice in the form of metasomatic marcasites.
