Nowy płat magurski Sowiny
Abstract
A NEW MAGURA DETACHED PATCH AT SOWINAIn the summer season of 1960, during mapping carried out in the area of Jedlicze by the Carpathian Field Station of the Geological Institute, a new Magura detached patch was discovered in Sowina (a village situated north of Jasło). This patch is situated some 0.6 km. east of the Kluczowa patch; its expanse is 0.3sq. km. This patch was determined on the basis of several outcrops in the ravin, of test borings, and by soundings. An exact drawing of its outlines is unobtainable, due to a thick mantle of residual clays covering a considerable part of the patch.Downloads
