Mikrofauna cechsztyńska z otworu Mielnik
Abstract
ZECHSTEIN MICROFAUNA FROM MIELNIK BORE-HOLEThe author describes the microfauna round in sampIes collected from the series of Zochstein sediments perforated in bore-hole Mielnik on the Bug river (eastern Poland) at the depth of 571 - 575.50 m. Here a fairly ample, although frequently damaged, microfaunal material was found. Owing to the poor preservation of this material, the author limited her description to 4 species of foraminifers and 5 species of ostracods. Other organic remnants like Bryozoa or Productus spicules are discussed less accurately, due to their being difficult to identify. Previously, a Zechstein macrofauna had already been found in the investigated samples. The fact that within the microfaunal material forms have been identified which abroad have been described as derived from a series of Zechstein sediments, collaborates the Zechstein age of the examined samples.Downloads
