Abstract
PRELIMINARY RESULTS OF INVESTIGATIONS OF JURASSIC SEDIMENTS BETWEEN VISTULA AND BUGIn the area between Vistula and Bug, Jurassic sediments appear underneath·a fairIy thick overburden of the Cretaceous, while their substratum is formed by Triassic, Carboniferous or Cambrian sediments. The thickness of the Jurassic sediments varies between 30.00 and 600.00 m.; it is greatest in the northeastern periphery of the Święty Krzyż Mountains.Lias sediments are only known from bore-holes at Ostrów Mazowiecka, Iwiczna, Rachów, Korytków, and these drilling determine the eastern boundary of the present-day occurrence of the Lias in this region.Downloads
