Abstract
POLLEN ANALYSIS OF LACUSTRINE DEPOSITS AT LASKA NEAR BRUSY
By means of the palynological method the author investigated an organogenic series consisting of gyttia and lacustrine chalk found in a profile at Laska near Brusy, situated on the Tuchola outwash plain in westernPomera.ma (R. G a lo n, 1953).
The thickness of the examined deposits is 1.75 m. The bottom of this organogenic series consist of gyttia (depth 1.45-1.75 m.) on top of which, up to the series, lies Iacustrine chaIk. The organogenic series 18 underlain by humus sand of 1.75-1.90 m. thickness.
The author carried out the pollen analysis of 11 samples, two of which taken from the sandy series failed to contain spores. The remaining 9 analyses made of the organogenic series yielded proof for assigning this series to Holocene age, of a range from the Preboreal to and including the Atlantic period.
