Różnice we współczynnikach filtracji wyznaczonych różnymi metodami na przykładzie piasków wydmowych rejonu Warszawy
Abstract
DIFFERENCES IN THE FILTRATION COEFFICIENTS COMPUTED BY MEANS OF VARIOUS METHODS, EXEMPLIFIED ON DUNE SANDS FROM THE WARSAW REGIONThe filtration coefficient as an indispensable parameter. in all engineering .works dealing with the underground waters is calculated by means of various methods (field, laboratory and empirical methods). Least expensive, but relatively inaccurate are coefficients established empirically by means of formulae prepared by various authors, viz: Hazen, Slichter, Seelheim, Sauerbrey, Krüger and others. The coefficients established in that way may only be used in the preliminary stages of investigatory works, or as a supplementary ones. As a rule, the values of the filtration coefficients determined for only one sand sample by means of various formulae, differ from each other. in the hydrogeological practice, it is customary to apply fairly arbitrarily formulae of this or ether authors, usually without taking into account the kind of sand that been used to comput the formula·given.Downloads
