Metoda jednopunktowego wyznaczania granicy płynności
Abstract
ONE-POINT METHOD OF LIQUID LIMIT DETERMINATIONOn the basis of the analysis of 443 tests of liquid limit the authors confirm the dependence between the humidity of the soil and the numbers of strokes necessary to even out the indention in the Casagrande apparatus. This dependence expressed by the formula: for all the soil on Polish territory enables the liquid limit to be detemrrined within a degree of tolerance ± 2,5%. In comparison with the formulas suggested by foreign authors the probable error of this formula is 10 times lower. The determination of firm bottom after the formula suggested, has the advantage of being simpler and requires half the time of the existing standard method.Downloads
