Abstract

ON STRUCTURE AND STRATIGRAPHY OF CRYSTALLINE BASEMENT IN NORTHEASTERN POLANDThe Precambrian formations occur under a thick cover built up of sedimentary and effusive rocks. In the paper the structure of the top of crystalline basement is discussed in detail, as well as several elevation and depression zones are distinguished. For instance, 7 morphological forms disclosing directions approximate to the parallel have been recorded (Fig. 1) in the vicinities of Białowieża and Kruszyniany.
