Abstract

FROST WEDGES IN SEDIMENTS OF THE NORTH POLISH GLACIATION, NEAR PŁOCK

The study carried on by the present author in the near-bank area of the Vistula river, between Podolszyce and Imielnica, east of Płock, was mostly concerned with the problem of known irregularity of arenaceous-gravelly sediments occurring within a terrace horizon above the high bank of Vistula, and so far assigned, on the whole, to the high sandr horizon I (S. Skompski, W. Słowański 1961) which was referred to the stationary phase of continental glacier at the line of the Dobrzyń moraines.
