O zagadnieniach facjalnych malmu w Polsce zachodniej
Abstract
ON FACIAL PROBLEMS OF THE HALM IN WESTERN POLANDThe area under study comprises the western part of the Fore-Sudetic monocline, the Szczecin trough, the western part of the Pomeranian paranticlinorium, and the adjoining portion of the marginal syncline. The most complete development of the MaIm deposits is seen in the eastern part of the Szczecin trough. Undoubtedly, the Maim deposits laid down in the area of the paranticlmorium underwent partial or complete erosion. Towards the Łeba elevation, and the innermost part of the Fore-Sudetic monocline, as well as to the west it may consequently be observed a lack of older and older members of the MaIm, partly due to erosion, partly on account of gradual reduction of the extension of the MaIm sea.The presented analysis of facial changes (Figs. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5) in that part of the basin allows to draw approximately the probable outlines of the basin which has existed at the time from Oxfordian to Purbeckian.Downloads
