Zagadnienia stratygrafii doggeru w północno-wschodniej Polsce
Abstract
ON THE DOGGER STRATIGRAPHY IN NORTHEASTERN POLANDThe marine Dogger formations begin with the deposits of Upper Vesulian age, occurring in the northern part of the Mazury - Suwałki elevation, i.e. at Nidzica and Olszyny. These are arenaceous-clayey sediments reaching up to 20 - 30 m in thickness. Towards the top they continuously pass into a 20 - 30 m thick arenaceous series of the Lower Bathonian. The sediments of the Upper Vesulian, as well as of the Lower and Middle Bathonian constitute a fairly large bay protruding as far as the Mazury - Suwałki elevation and ending probably between Olszyny and Pisz. The entire area of the Peribaltic syneclise and of the Mazury - Suwałki elevation was submerged only at the time of the Upper Bathonian transgression.Downloads
